Image
the end of f7 class on wednesday marked the start of 1 week holidays for me, so yea, time to go home :) went pyramid for dinner before heading home. took a really long time to finally decide what to eat. the random question again and again and again lol. in the end we had it in fong lye restaurant, a new taiwanese restaurant recently opened around pyramid ice rink lg1. the most important thing during dinner. you shall know why later :p oyster with egg, also known as oo-qien, is my all time favourite. EGGS. hehh not bad. alot of oysters inside, but the gravy is a lil too sweet. =d best dish among all. potato balls. the only dish that i can actually taste the ori flavour of the food, the natural sweetness. yummy! fried mushroom. the mushrooms are kinda juicy, but the coat of pepper salt is a lil too thick, so yea, too salty. made me FREAKING THIRSTY. =d fried tempura, something like our keropok lekor, coated with the pepper salt as the fried mushroom. again too salty. yea you got what i ...

Introducing our focus for today, Shilin Taiwan Snacks. For food lovers like me, Taiwan has always been a dream land for us as there was lotsa snacks and yummy food available, not forgetting the famous Taiwan Night Market. Imagine the whole streets with different snacks, the scent, the noise, the crowds, the night view....... Shilin was a very famous night market at Taiwan, and thus this stall here was selling some best sell items there too. Snacks available here are the fried fish cakes , oyster mee sua , chicken floss in egg skin , and for sure the BIG XX CRISPY CHICKEN CHO P!!! Ricebox If you're wondering how are you going to get your stomach full without rice, this gonna be your good choice. White rice sprinkle with some soy sauce, topped with the Big XX Crispy Chicken Chop, together with some tofu and preserved egg and spring onion. The chicken chop was stained with pepper salt. Quite salty actually, and brings a little scent of herbs. Oh ya FYI the ricebox is of a veryyyy big ...

My Honeymoon

Image
Was told by KC that this stall appears on paper before, so then I pay it a visit. A typical Hong Kong style dessert stall. Like the slogan quite much "Our desserts, Your honeymoon". Sounds sweet right?? Tried the hot item, the TangYuan and a dessert with my favourite mango. The Three Sweet Ball Got attracted by the title, and it was the first picture that ran into my sight when I browsed through the menu. Got the advice from the waiter to try all three types of fillings for the TangYuan, ie the milk custard, peanut and black sesame. See the marks on the TangYuan? The green one is milk custard, yellow one is peanut and the one without mark is black sesame. If I was to rate these three flavour of fillings, it would be mild for milk custard, popular for peanut and black sesame as special. Well not everyone stand the feelings of eating black sesames. Those who like will like it very much, and those who don't will repel it very much as well. For first try I will recommend taki...
